Melbourne's new Tune Hotel

The Tune Hotel Group, which has already made its mark throughout South East Asia with its minimally-priced, pay-as-you-use system, has chosen Melbourne to open its first Australian hotel in November 2013.

Tune’s flagship Melbourne hotel will be at 607 Swanston Street between RMIT and Melbourne University, two tram stops from the city centre, and a short walk to Lygon Street in Carlton and its many Italian restaurants. Melbourne airport is roughly a 35 minute drive.

The hotel will include more than 200 rooms, a restaurant, cafe and residential apartments. The average hotel room rate will be $60-$70 per night with guests paying  extra for services such as air conditioning, TV, daily room cleaning and towels.

Tune Hotel Group will also base its Australian and New Zealand operational headquarters in Melbourne. The hotel, which opens November 1, is now taking bookings.
