Victoria’s longest running food and wine festival, the Grampians Grape Escape, brings together foodies and families for an indulgent epicurean weekend within the spectacular Grampians region, from Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 May 2014. Over 125 food and wine artisans offer the region’s best fine food and produce along with guest celebrity chefs sharing their culinary secrets. A new hawker-style market will take place on the Saturday evening, transforming the Festival Village into a thriving event with live music and roving entertainment.

The Grampians Grape Escape is held in the relaxed township of Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampians, under three hours’ drive from Melbourne. Halls Gap is surrounded by spectacular mountain ranges and is the gateway to the grand and majestic Grampians National Park. Year round the town is popular with visitors who spend days exploring the nearby wonders and offers a range of stunning eco-accommodation.

The Pinnacle
From Sundial Carpark (located within Grampians National Park), traverse the 4.2km walking track through rocky woodland and climbing steeply along a ridge providing scenic views all the way to the iconic Pinnacle Lookout. This spectacular view is well worth the effort.

Venus Baths Loop Walk
For a more leisurely stroll in around an hour, visitors can start from the main car park in Halls Gap and simply follow the easy grade track over Stony Creek which winds along the creek and past towering sandstone cliffs. The  walk ends at the picturesque Venus Baths rockpools.

Halls Gap Zoo
Victoria’s largest regional zoo now boasts over 160 different species which can be viewed as guests walk around the 2km walking track. Halls Gap Zoo is home to a number of captive breeding programs for endangered species such as Bilbies, Mainland Tammar Wallabies, Quolls and Bettongs.
