Located on the banks of the mighty Murray River, the twin towns of Echuca Moama are the closest point to the Murray from Melbourne and are the home of the Echuca Moama Winter Blues Festival (25-27 July 2014). Held every year on the last weekend in July, this free event is based around the historic Echuca Heritage Port Precinct with a three day program featuring 40+ blues artists performing in over 20 venues.

EAT

The one hat Oscar W’s Wharfside Red Gum Grill and Deck Bar  is positioned high on the Murray River’s bank, next to Echuca’s famous red gum wharf with amazing views over the Murray River and Australia’s paddle steamer fleet. The Great Aussie Beer Shed is the first and only, beer can, brewery related and Australiana museum in Australia. This unique tourist attraction features over 16,000 beer cans from Australia and around the world, and other brewery related items including beer tap tops and tap handles, trays, old wooden beer barrels, bottles, signs both old and modern, brewery manufacturing equipment and machinery.
