New and improved accommodation continues to open up throughout regional Victoria offering visitors even more luxury and boutique overnight options. Below is a selection of the recently opened and soon to open properties throughout the State.

Vibe Hotel and Conference Centre Marysville – this soon to open property, located in the heart of Marysville, an easy 100 kilometre (62 miles) drive east from Melbourne, will provide modern and environmentally sustainable accommodation. Scheduled to open towards the end of the year, the new property will feature 101 stylish guest rooms (including five suites), a wood-fire grill restaurant / gastro pub, café, deli and bakehouse as well as a relaxing spa and wellness area. The venue will also cater for large events, with conference centre facilities for up to 300 guests. Hepburn Spa Retreat – this new luxury accommodation, which opened in early June 2014 is located in the picturesque village of Hepburn Springs in the heart of Victoria’s spa country. The property comprises 10 glamorous five-star villas. Contemporary and elegant, they are designed for complete indulgence and comfort and all have magnificent, serene views over native bushland. All villas have kitchenettes, king-sized beds, double spas and double showers and gas log fires. A welcome hamper full of local produce is also provided to all guests on arrival. The Schaller Studio – the latest edition to the Art Series Hotel Group is set just outside the town centre of historic Bendigo in Victoria’s Goldfields region. Drawing on the cultural artwork of Bendigo, the Schaller Studio – inspired by well recognised Melbourne artist Mark Schaller – pushes the boundaries of conventional accommodation and takes guests into a creative realm with large edgy communal spaces, rooms filled with original artwork, sculptures and mosaics across landscaped gardens. Talo Retreat at Moama on Murray Resort – scheduled to open on 30 August this year, the new Talo Retreat at Moama on Murray Resort offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the beauty, peace and tranquility of the Murray River and the Australian bush whilst enjoying the creature comfort of a hotel suite. The unique style of accommodation in a Yurt is inspired by traditional nomadic Mongolian dwellings. Each Yurt consists of a circular room set on a timber floor with canvas walls lined with Australian wool, internal lattice wood features and a domed skylight allowing for stargazing. Each Yurt is also self-contained with a compact kitchenette, coffee machine and barbeque facilities, along with a private outdoor spa for two. Polperro Wines – what was previously known as The Vines at Red Hill is now called Polperro Wines. The oniste luxury accommodation villas have been refurbished (previously called Kudos at Red Hill) and are nuzzled amongst stunning vines on a 25 acre property in the famed Red Hill wine region in the Mornington Peninsula. Each of the four apartments features a king size bed, designer detailed styling, open fire place, central spa bath and vineyard views. Achilles – located in the seaside village of Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road, this two story sandstone guest house opened for business in June this year. Boasting stunning ocean views all the way from Cape Patton to the Apollo Bay harbour, the three bedroom property features open plan living, a modern kitchen, wood burning fireplace and an expansive outdoor deck area with a large outdoor spa. The Pole House – one of the most photographed properties in Victoria has re-opened following a complete rebuild and renovation to modernise the 35 year old house. Guests can enjoy 360 degree views in this romantic setting overlooking the stunning Great Ocean Road in Fairhaven.  First constructed in 1978, the property was pulled down in late 2012 – with a view to revive and refresh the architecture and design. It was reopened in December 2013 with the new design capitalising on the breath-taking views with floor to ceiling retractable glass doors. BEST WESTERN Yarra Valley – inspired by the vintage glamour of the bygone era, BEST WESTERN Yarra Valley is a luxurious 22 room boutique hotel located on the banks of the Yarra River in the heart of the Yarra Valley wine region. Wallis House – located in the sleepy town of Talbot, a picturesque 164 kilometre (100 miles) drive north-west of Melbourne between Ballarat and Maryborough, visitors can discover Wallis House. Originally built in 1872 by the Wallis Family, this recently restored, quaint cottage is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and take in the fresh country air, with two beautifully appointed bedrooms offering comfort and relaxation.
